This Boseong Ujeon (Woojeon) green tea is a taste of early spring in your teacup. Hand plucking only the tender first flush buds of mid April, prior to Gukwoo (the first spring rain), the farmers then steam to prevent any oxidation, thereby maintaining the delicate green color and subtle flavors and scents of the finest Ujeon tea.

Jaksul (sparrow's beak) refers to the shape of the iconic "bud and two leaves" found at the tip of spring growth on the camellia sinensus bush. The two spreading leaves resemble an open bird’s beak and the emerging bud looks like its tongue sticking out. Ujeon means "before the spring rain".
